Dr Lina Digolo (MD) is a paediatrician and clinical epidemiologist with over 15 years of experience in program development and implementation, evaluation, and policy development. She is particularly interested in the practical links between research evidence and practice. Lina has vast expertise in supporting national governments, civil society organisations, bilateral and philanthropic donors, and UN agencies to use evidence for policymaking and programme design in the Global South. Her current focus is on VAW/C and supporting actors to use evidence to design programmes that work at the intersections. Dr. Sara Ruto is the Chief Administrative Secretary at the Ministry of Education. Her career in the field of education and research spans over 30 years. She has experience in managing large scale multi-country programs whose evidence has impacted national and international policies with respect to reading and numeracy. Sara has actively participated in global education and used evidence to back the need for competency and outcomes based education. She has published widely in academic journals, chapters and blogs as an avenue of framing educational trends and infusing a global south perspective.
